Research Associate (Keshav Desiraju India Mental Health Observatory)

We are looking for Research Associates for the Keshav Desiraju IMHO.
The Keshav Desiraju India Mental Health Observatory (IMHO) is an open-access repository of data and information on mental health laws, policies & services to promote evidence-based policy making and bridge systemic gaps for advancing mental health in India.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research by collecting, collating, and analysing existing data, metrics and information on the mental health system in India
- Draft and disseminate research outputs and publications (annual reports, briefs, newsletters, white papers etc.)
- Develop and maintain the IMHO website and data platforms
- Develop linkages and coordinate with civil society organisations, policymakers and other stakeholders as part of the IMHO’s institutional mechanism for collaborative research
- Organise consultations and dissemination events at a national, state and local level
Qualifications & skills
Essential
- Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Law, Public Health, Public Policy or allied disciplines
- At least 2 years’ work experience in the fields of mental health, public health, law and policy reform, social justice, and other allied fields
- Strong research skills in both qualitative and quantitative techniques
- Proficiency in written English – academic and policy writing
Desirable
- Prior experience in communication, advocacy, and network building
- Proficiency in Hindi (verbal and written)
