About the Role: We’re looking for a Research Assistant based in Odisha to support our ongoing research and field-based work in the state. As a team member on the ground, you will provide field support and coordination across project activities as needed. This is a role based in Bhubaneswar, with regular travel required between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack for stakeholder meetings and other project-related activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Support research activities as required
• Provide on-ground field support and coordination for project activities in Odisha
• Travel regularly between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack as required for project work
• Liaise with local stakeholders, partners, and government/institutional contacts as needed
• Assist with data collection, documentation, and reporting
• Support training and capacity-building activities as required
• Undertake any other project-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
ESSENTIAL
• Master’s degree in Mental Health, Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
• Expert/native proficiency in Odia
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Odia
• Strong documentation skills
DESIRABLE
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods
• Familiarity working with government or law enforcement stakeholders
• Prior experience in training development and delivery
