Research Associate

We are looking for two Research Associates for a mental health and suicide prevention project based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Role and responsibilities

  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate project implementation
  • Design and execute research-based activities, including data collection, data management, and analysis
  • Train and supervise researchers engaged in field-based activities
  • Draft training materials and provide support for project events
  • Contribute to research outputs and documentation
  • Participate in monitoring and evaluating project indicators

Qualifications and skills

Essential 
  • A master’s degree in social sciences, psychology, public health, or allied disciplines
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in research within the fields of mental health, public health, and related areas
  • Willingness to be based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh
  • Proficiency in English and Hindi (verbal and written)
  • Strong research proficiency for qualitative and quantitative techniques
  • Prior experience in academic writing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and team management skills
  • High level of competence in MS Office applications
Desirable
  • Advanced research degrees such as M Phil or Ph D
  • Prior experience in working with government systems
  • Experience in training and/or supervising lay and/or professional counsellors in the delivery of mental health interventions
