Sabhyata Ranjan

abhyata Ranjan is a Project Officer and Research Associate with the Atmiyata Project at the Centre for Mental Health Law & Policy (CMHLP). She supports the community-based mental health initiative through capacity building, programme implementation, research, and stakeholder engagement. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialisation in Counselling from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Guwahati. She also received a Postgraduate Diploma from St. Xaviers College, Mumbai in Counselling Psychology.

Prior to joining CMHLP, she worked as a social worker with Counsel to Secure Justice, providing psychosocial support and legal assistance to children who had experienced sexual harm and their families. Her professional interests include community mental health, social justice, child and adolescent wellbeing, and intersectional collaboration in health care.

Outside work, she enjoys travelling, playing with her cats and exploring different hobbies almost every month.
