We are looking for a Research Associate (full-time) for our new project on suicide prevention – Contact And Safety Planning (CASP).

CASP is a suicide prevention pilot trial which aims to reduce repeat suicide attempts through a contact and safety planning intervention delivered within the public health system to generate evidence for scaling up.

Qualifications & skills

  • M.A. in Public Health, Mental Health, Social Sciences, or allied disciplines
  • Strong project management skills
  • Good research, writing & analytical skills
  • Time management & ability to meet short deadlines
  • Fluent in English & Hindi
  • Preferably have 2 to 3 years’ work experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough literature reviews, formative research (e.g. landscape mapping), focus group discussions & in-depth interviews
  • Develop training & educational material on suicide prevention among at-risk adults
  • Data collection & management (qualitative & quantitative)
  • Project management assistance and co-ordination with stakeholders for timely implementation of deliverables
  • Travel to the field
