Research Associate (Capacity Building)

We are looking for Assistant Capacity Building Managers for the Atmiyata project implemented by Centre for Mental Health Law & Policy, Indian Law Society, Pune.

Atmiyata is a low cost, high impact, sustainable and scalable intervention that complements the public mental health system, aimed at reducing the mental health and social care gap. At present Atmiyata is being implemented in Gujarat, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh & Maharashtra.
Responsibilities
- Design and Facilitation of Training: Develop culturally appropriate, evidence-based training materials and deliver interactive workshops, seminars, and sessions for field staff and community stakeholders.
- Mentoring and Supervision: Provide ongoing supervision, feedback, and mentorship to trainees to enhance their skills and confidence in delivering mental health services.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop tools to assess training effectiveness, collect feedback, and refine training methodologies based on outcomes and insights.
- Logistics and Reporting: Coordinate logistics for training events and prepare reports summarizing activities, achievements, and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Capacity Building Manager, Program manager, field teams, and external trainers to align training plans with program objectives and community needs.
Qualifications and skills
ESSENTIAL
- Master’s degree in social science, Public Health or other allied fields
- Ability to write emails to different stakeholders
- Good communication skills
- Proficient in Gujarati/ Marathi/ Kannada/Tamil and Hindi, English (verbal and written)
- Prior experience in training delivery
DESIRABLE
- 1 – 3 years’ field experience
- Prior experience of working in community mental health or community health projects
