About this position: We are looking for a Project Manager & Research Coordinator for Atmiyata to support with implementation and scale-up of the intervention. 

Atmiyata is a low cost, high impact, sustainable and scalable intervention that complements the public mental health system, aimed at reducing the mental health and social care gap. At present Atmiyata is being implemented in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra & Tamil Nadu.

Qualifications and skills 

ESSENTIAL

  • Master’s degree in social science, Public Health or other allied fields
  • 2 – 4 years field experience
  • Willing to travel extensively to field locations
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders at the block, district, and state levels.
  • Proficient in English and Hindi (verbal and written)

Desirable

  • Prior experience of working in community mental health or community health projects
  • Proficient in Gujarati

Responsibilities 

  • Program Implementation: Oversee daily execution of the program, ensuring protocol adherence and fidelity of the intervention.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate and maintain regular communication with government, non-government, and community stakeholders at the district level to ensure the smooth functioning of Atmiyata and collaborate with the public mental health system to strengthen the referral system.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and analyse field / project data, track quantitative indicators, and ensure regular feedback to the field team; prepare progress and funder reports.
  • Problem-Solving and Crisis Management: Address implementation challenges or issues proactively, manage or resolve crisis effectively, and escalate crisis or issues to higher management in timely manner.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and external stakeholders to meet with project aims and objectives.
  • Communication: Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with the internal team, field staff, and other partners, collaborators, and stakeholders.
