Technology Lead

We are seeking an experienced Technology professional to spearhead a research initiative at the frontier of technology, suicide prevention, and mental health. As the Technology Lead, you will build and lead a dynamic team to develop innovative technological solutions addressing critical challenges in mental health and suicide prevention.
This is the inaugural technology role within our organisation, offering a unique opportunity to directly shape and lead our technological approach.
Role and responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and drive the strategic direction of a new division focused on leveraging frontier technologies (AI/ML) to advance mental health and suicide prevention initiatives
Funding and Grants
Identify and apply for grant opportunities to support the lifecycle of research projects
Team Building
Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
Technology Strategy
Oversee and shape technology strategies across various programs, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s overarching objectives
Data-driven Decision Making
Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organisation, using insights to inform strategic direction
Innovation Leadership
Position the organisation at the forefront of technological innovation in mental health, driving continuous advancement and adaptation
Experience Required
- Leadership and domain expertise in AI/ML
- Deep understanding and critical perspective on trends in AI/ML and the broader technology spectrum
- Experience managing and executing projects involving data at scale and data lifecycle management, including security
Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
