Project Officer and Research Associate

Sana is a Project Officer and Research Associate at the Centre for Mental Health Law and Policy, working on the Suicide Prevention Implementation Research Initiative (SPIRIT) Project. She is trained in Social Work in Mental Health from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Before joining the Centre, she worked with a trade union of women farmers across rural Gujarat through policy advocacy. She moves between academic research and field practice with an objective to apply evidence to real-world contexts, and bring back ground-level insights to enrich and challenge academic knowledge.

Outside of work, Sana enjoys singing, travelling, psspss-ing cats, and engaging in spirited debates with friends and family.
