Project Officer and Research Associate

Bhoomi works as Project Officer and Research Associate at the Centre. She is part of the project ‘Capacity Building of Service Providers, Caregivers & Child Protection Functionaries for Integrating MHPSS in Child Protection Systems in India’. She holds an M.A. in Social Work (Mental Health) from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Bhoomi is trained as a Narrative Practitioner and is interested in integrating creative modalities in her work.

She feels most at home in the wild or by the sea and has grown into somewhat of a birdwatcher over the years. When not outdoors, Bhoomi can often be found doodling, sketching or watching a movie.

Bhoomi takes a keen interest in community mental health and collective healing through solidarity and resistance. Professional Interests: Working at the intersections of caste, gender and ecologies with a social justice lens, youth and adolescent mental health, community engagement, research and advocacy.
