Amol Tanaji Shingade
I am currently working at the Centre on a project that focuses on increasing the leadership representation of historically marginalized communities in the non-profit sector. This work involves mentoring, capacity building, and, most importantly, respecting lived experiences and the values of social justice.
I hold a Master’s degree in Livelihoods and Social Entrepreneurship from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Over the past five years, I have been engaged in the development sector, working on issues related to equity, community leadership, and inclusive practices.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading and traveling. I read Marathi and English subaltern literature, which helps me stay connected to grassroots voices and struggles. I travel to find inner peace and often visit places like old Buddhist caves, medieval temples, farmlands, and cultural sites where I connect with nature, people, and their histories.
