Kavita

Kavita is a Research Associate at the Centre for Mental Health Law & Policy (CMHLP). She holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pune University. Kavita is a mental health researcher with over six years of experience in suicide prevention.

Kavita’s current role also involves Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), where she ensures that project outcomes are effectively measured and assessed.

Prior to joining CMHLP, Kavita worked with Sangath, focusing on understanding the reasons for suicide among vulnerable youths in India. Her expertise in qualitative research and data analysis has been key to her efforts in uncovering the complexities of suicide prevention.

Professional interests:  Social determinants of mental health, suicide prevention, and improving access to mental health services for underserved populations. She is passionate about advancing mental health research and publishing findings that contribute to better mental health practices and policies.
