Natalie Drew Bold is the Technical Officer of the Policy, Law and Human Rights Unit within the Department of Mental Health and Substance Use at the World Health Organization. As part of her work she supports countries to reform mental health related policies, plans and laws and services in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and other international human rights standards.  

In addition, Natalie works closely with government and civil society actors in the implementation of the WHO QualityRights Initiative, which, among other things, supports countries to assess and improve quality and human rights conditions in mental health services, and builds capacity among national stakeholders to understand and promote the rights of people with psychosocial, cognitive and intellectual disabilities.
