Somidha is a Research Associate with Atmiyata. She did her MSc in Global Mental Health from King’s College London (KCL) and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Previously, she was involved in and led a number of research projects, the key ones being: mapping the mental health landscape of Bihar; adapting a low cost psychological intervention ‘Friendship Bench’ to the Indian context; evaluating DDR programmes for former child soldiers in Sierra Leone; mapping the ‘Culture, Context and Mental Health of Rohingya Refugees’ to develop a guide for MHPSS workers (UNHCR publication); and a qualitative exploration of a street child’s experience with grief. In her free time, Somidha can be found with her nose buried inside a book or feeding the strays in her area.
