Job Title: Research Associate (full time)

Qualification and experience:
Masters in Social Work/ Public Health/ Social Sciences. Work experience in community-based mental health, disability or public health project would be preferable
Duration: Initial contract for 1 year, will be extended based on the progress of the project.
Remuneration: INR 50 – 60, 000 per month
About Centre for Mental Health Law and Policy:
The Centre for Mental Health Law and Policy (CMHLP) at the Indian Law Society, Pune undertakes implementation research in mental health, human rights, law, and policy. The aims of the Centre are to sensitise the community, service providers, policy-makers, legislators and other stakeholders to protect and promote the rights of persons with psycho-social disabilities.
Atmiyata is an innovative community led project for increasing access to mental health and social care for persons with common and severe psycho-social disabilities. It involves a twotier community based volunteer (Champions & Mitras) capacity building to identify and support persons in distress to lead productive and healthy lives.
About the Position:
Atmiyata project is looking for someone with good communication skills to implement project interventions in a community setting, and to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. The person should have good documentation skills to prepare reports, and communication material for the project.
The Research Associate will be responsible for the following:
- Implement project interventions as per protocol
- Collaborate and liaison with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with training for stakeholders as per project protocol
- Assist with preparing and implementing overall communication plan for Atmiyata
- Flexible with travel
